The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) inspection plan for 2020:

HSA inspectors are checking Safety Statements. Inspectors will ascertain the level of knowledge of employers, directors and senior managers of their safety and health responsibilities under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005.

Examination of Safety and Health Documentation such as Safety Statements and/or the safety and health plan, as apprpriate. 

Establish the adequacy of hazard control measures in the work place.

How well developed the safety and health management system is in the workplace.

The nature of the risks found, the extent of their control or lack of control.
